The Parramatta Eels have formally appointed acting CEO John Boulos to the role in a full-time capacity.
Boulos had been in the acting role since former CEO Scott Seward left the club in June.
"John has been doing a fantastic job as Acting CEO and has played an integral role in establishing the club's new strategic plan for the next five years and the club's commitment to governance realignment," Eels chairman Steve Sharp said in a statement on the club's website.
"He lives and breathes our club values and I am very confident he will do an outstanding job as our CEO."
Sharp said the appointment of Boulous would help provide stability and forward-thinking to the club.
"The club engaged external consultants to review the position and John's suitability, and based on the strong results received from this process and his experience, the board believe John is the best candidate to lead the club into a new and exciting period," Sharp said.
"I am excited about the prospect of John working in conjunction with our Head of Football, Daniel Anderson, and Head Coach, Brad Arthur, to deliver our club winning results on and off the playing arena."
Boulous has previously spent time with Football Federation Australia and Cricket NSW, and came to the Eels as Chief Operating Officer in late 2013.
Boulous described the appointment as a privilege and a great honour.
"I look forward to continuing to work with our board, staff, stakeholders, players and our members to bring our club's strategic plan to life," he said.
