Broncos back-rower Corey Oates is determined to finish the season strongly after an off-field indiscretion saw him dropped from the team.

Brisbane utility Corey Oates has re-signed with the Broncos for a further three years, tying him to the club until the end of 2017.

Already signed to the club for 2015, the 19-year-old agreed to a two-year extension last week.

Having already racked up 29 NRL games with Brisbane in his young career, Oates hadn't even flirted with the idea of leaving the club.

"I am very happy and can't wait to be here for another three years," Oates said.

"This has been my club since I was a little boy, so the last thing I wanted to do was leave."
