Nathan Hindmarsh believes James Maloney (pictured) and Mitchell Pearce go missing in big games.

Former Parramatta great Nathan Hindmarsh believes the Sydney Roosters will win this year's minor premiership, but has doubts about the halves pairing of Mitchell Pearce and James Maloney performing in the finals.

Hindmarsh told SportsFan's Clubhouse that the duo too often went missing in big games, and said it could cost the Roosters a shot at the title.

"When it comes to the pointy end of the season, they (Pearce and Maloney) don't really go that well in big games, I'm a bit concerned about their halves pairing," Hindmarsh said.
