When it comes down to it most clubs will be pleased with the few serious injuries suffered at the Downer NRL Auckland Nines – that's of course if your name isn't Trent Barrett.

The Sea Eagles coach – in his first Nines campaign – was again left seething after Jayden Hodges suffered a suspected ACL injury, which may spell the end of his 2016 season already.

Sea Eagles

In what can only be described as the weekend from hell for the Sea Eagles, Trent Barrett's men will leave Auckland with no less than six injury concerns.

After Jake Trbojevic, Jamie Buhrer, Nathan Green and Jorge Taufua were ruled out of the tournament on the first day; Hodges's suspected ACL injury is another huge blow for the club.

Tom Trbojevic appeared to have hurt his knee during their quarter-final loss to the Titans, but came back on to see out the game.

Eels

Manu Ma'u failed to take his place in the Eels' semi-final and grand final due to a knock to the knee. He almost played in the final.

Roosters

The Roosters were already out of contention when Day 2 rolled around but they could be licking their wounds when it comes to Omar Slaimankhel's arm, who left the field late with the assistance of a trainer in his team's win over the Storm.

Storm

Cameron Munster has a suspected medial ligament tear after falling awkwardly in a tackle during the quarter-finals. He'll spend four to six weeks on the sideline.

Warriors

Henare Wells pulled a hamstring in the tournament final when chasing a long range Warriors kick down field.  He failed to return.

Jillaroos

The injuries weren't restricted to the men's game, with Jillaroos back-rower Renae Kunst carried off with a hamstring injury midway through the second half of their third game against the Kiwi Ferns.

Kiwi Ferns

It was bad luck for both women's teams with Kristina Sue also carried off with an apparent knee injury, after scoring her side's third try in the third match against the Jillaroos.
